Where do i even begin to outline the multitude of issues i have regarding America’s division on gay marriage ….. 

I’ve recently been positively surprised to find out that Pres. Obama has expressed his support of gay marriage. Most ‘enlightened’ people would certainly not find this to be a big deal, but it is an enormous step in American politics: a president -and a black one at that- publicly supporting same-sex marriage. Most of America gasped out loud when this  happened! 

Personally, I’m not entirely sure why it’s taken so long for a President to be able to voice his opinion on this issue. Why is this a surprise? Does his endorsement of same-sex marriage make him any less of a man, or any less adequate in his public position? 

Beside the unnecessary stigma attached to the LGBT community and any of its supporters, now Pres. Obama may be in hot water over his opinion. His endorsement of same-sex marriage is now an issue of debate for the American people with regard to the upcoming federal elections…. The very notion that the American people would vote for an ass-backward religious lunatic like Mitt Romney just because the other candidate supports gay marriage is so appalling that I can’t even begin to express its severity!

Republican Rick Santorum, who recently dropped out of the electoral process, is now urging the American public to lend their support to Mitt Romney. Why? Because Romney is another Republican puppet of the old Bush administration, and is the frontman of their efforts to reclaim America and push the country back into an era of blind discrimination. Not so long ago, people of colour were denied the same basic human rights and were stigmatized simply due to the colour of their skin, something over which they exercised no control since birth! 

NEWSFLASH for those who continue to adopt a policy of ignorance in their beliefs: 
Homosexuals are born homosexuals! They did not choose to be attracted to the same sex, and they certainly didn’t willingly choose to continue being stigmatized for their entire lives! Numerous species of the animal kingdom exhibit homosexual behaviour of both genders, yet nobody declares them to be mutts of lesser value!

 People need to open their eyes. In some cases, they need to put down whatever “holy book” they’ve been reading, and consider whether they’ve been interpreting it a little too literally. Yes, this is directly pointed at all Christians who maintain that the Bible and God condemns homosexual activity. This is actually bullshit, borne out of a willingness to overlook the painful truth that God doesn’t actually give a shit. Even if there were a God, I am damn sure that the Bible says God loves all his children equally, regardless of what they choose to do in their lives with their free will! So please, before you discriminate against a group of people based on biased social conventions, remember that it’s none of your fucking business who your neighbour likes to fuck, or which orifice he/she particularly likes to fuck.

I am a former Catholic myself, and I can attest to the fact that not all Christians are idiots. Some still have some wits about them and realize that same-sex marriage shouldn’t even be an issue in the 21st fucking century! The world should have greater concerns, for instance, how the fuck to stop killing each other in pointless fucking wars, how to feed every hungry mouth -because believe me, it’s possible-, how to close the gap between the rich and poor, how to save the planet from destruction, etc.

An individual’s sexual orientation should only be a topic of discussion between the parties involved in a/the relationship, not an instrument to be used to gain political advantage.

 It sickens me to know how narrow minded people can be, and how the invocation of millennia of thwarted religious beliefs can still exert an influence over -allegedly- educated individuals living in a western DEMO-FUCKING-CRATIC society! Why is it acceptable for certain groups to express and act upon their religious beliefs (which are their OPINIONS), and for it not to be acceptable for people BORN HOMOSEXUAL (read: have no control over their sexual orientation) to express who they truly are? Makes no fucking sense at all and if i could be the autocratic ruler of the world for one day, I’d put all these judgemental bigots in an enormous prison, where the guards would punish them by performing freaky S&M homosexual acts on them. 

Moral of the story: If you are an American and don’t vote for Pres. Obama (or any other candidate) due to an obvious issue of inadequacy in ruling the country -such as inability to balance deficits, stabilize the economy, etc- by all means, vote for someone you think is adequate.
If you don’t vote for Obama because he endorses equality for all human beings, then you are a fucking waste of oxygen, and i hope you become acquainted with death at the hands of a HOMOSEXUAL!
